Our University Foundation programmes are available in all the above subjects, and achieve total success in placing students in universities of their choice, for which we achieve wide recognition from UK universities. Shorter-term summer courses (2 weeks minimum) are also focussed on business, and are particularly suited to working people who want to improve their Business English in a short time.

Other specially tailored programmes include courses for Military, Government, and Aviation. We quote for these courses on request.

The Bournemouth International School Ltd. was started in 1966 and moved to its attractive, new premises in 1998. You will be able to enjoy bright, clean, well-equipped classrooms in a building designed to help you to get the most from your stay.

On your first day at school we give you a written test and a personal interview so that we can get a good idea of your level of English. We are then able to place you in a class suitable for you. We also specialise in tailor-made one-to-one courses, as well as tuition groups with common needs - such as bankers, commercial employees, gardeners and language teachers on refresher courses.

You will find that you are in one of the following levels:
Level 1 - Beginners/Lower Elementary Level
Level 2 - Upper Elementary/Pre-Intermediate Level
Level 3 - Lower Intermediate Level
Level 4 - Upper Intermediate Level
Level 5 - Advanced Level
The maximum number of students in your class will be 12. Very often, particularly outside the summer months, there are only 6-8. Our teachers work closely together to make sure that you get a balanced programme of study with a suitable amount of practice in all the skills you will need. It is important that you take an active part in classroom activities to make good use of what you are learning.

SCHENGEN VISAS
The “Schengen” visa is for short stays (tourism or business) in the following countries: Austria , Belgium , Czech Republic, Denmark , Estonia, Finland , France , Germany , Greece ,Hungary, Iceland , Italy , Lithuania, Lettonia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands , Norway , Poland, Portugal , Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, Slovakia.
The visa application has to be presented to the Visa Section of the country of main destination which is dependent upon the purpose of the journey and the length of stay. If your main destination cannot be ascertained, the Schengen country through which you first enter is responsible for granting the visa.
The Schengen Visa allows the holder to move freely in all the above mentioned countries within the validity of the visa. To obtain this type of visa you will be required to hold a passport or travel document that is recognized by all of the Schengen member states and valid at least three months beyond the validity of the visa. If your passport or travel document is valid only for certain Schengen states then the validity of your visa will be restricted to those states.

There is no legal right to a visa. Holders of Schengen visas are still subject to immigration control at the point of entry and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen member countries, even though they may hold a valid visa for these countries.
