Car Park and Centre Closure

A message from the Castlepoint Management Team

As a result of health and safety issues at Castlepoint’s car park, a decision was taken on November 30th to close the centre and car park until further notice.

Whilst there are no concerns about the safety of the centre itself, without a functioning car park we cannot keep Castlepoint open.

We are working closely with our contractors, engineers and health and safety advisors to find a long term solution and as soon as this is achieved we will reopen.

We are acutely aware of how this will affect shoppers, especially at this time of year and we truly regret the situation. However, our prime concern must be for the safety of all our shoppers and everyone who works at Castlepoint.

The following shops, restaurants and banks on Hamblin Way are unaffected and remain open with limited parking: Frankie & Benny’s, Nando’s, Barclays and NatWest Banks, Carphone Warehouse, The Link, Lakeland and Jessops.

The following helpline number 01202 598297 will provide up to date information on a daily basis as will our website at www.castlepointshopping.com <http://www.castlepointshopping.com>.

Bournemouth Town Centre is still open!

The recent news of the closure of the out of town Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth may leave some shoppers in the lurch, but Bournemouth Town Centre shops are still very much open with the added bonus of the German Christmas Market.

Bournemouth’s Town Centre provides a great choice of shops and boutiques in a traditional setting and there’s been an injection of investment into the town centre this year. The German Christmas Markets have returned with a bigger and better selection of German foods and presents. A new retail development in the town centre will be complete at the end of the year with top brand name shops such as Zara and Hennes. Women’s fashion shops such as Karen Millen will be opening soon and Coast opened last week.

As well as the German Markets, the town centre has free live entertainment throughout December on the 2CR FM stage with local schools and local bands performing. There is also free parking on Thursday and Sunday nights along with late night shopping on Thursdays. Santa’s Grotto is FREE and will be open on Thursdays and weekends in the town centre.

Bournemouth Town Centre has major national and regional high street brands including Marks and Spencer’s, Debenhams, WH Smith and Borders and jostle alongside small, individual boutiques, cafes and bars. Whether you prefer a major shopping extravaganza, or more leisurely window shop, Bournemouth is the place to be this Christmas.
