Bournemouth Town Centre is still open!
The recent news of the closure of the out of
town Castlepoint Shopping Centre in Bournemouth may leave some
shoppers in the lurch, but Bournemouth Town Centre shops are still
very much open with the added bonus of the German Christmas
Market.
Bournemouth’s Town Centre
provides a great choice of shops and boutiques in a traditional
setting and there’s been an injection of investment into the town
centre this year. The German Christmas Markets have returned with
a bigger and better selection of German foods and presents. A new
retail development in the town centre will be complete at the end
of the year with top brand name shops such as Zara and Hennes.
Women’s fashion shops such as Karen Millen will be opening soon
and Coast opened last week.
As well as the German
Markets, the town centre has free live entertainment throughout
December on the 2CR FM stage with local schools and local bands
performing. There is also free parking on Thursday and Sunday
nights along with late night shopping on Thursdays. Santa’s Grotto
is FREE and will be open on Thursdays and weekends in the town
centre.
Bournemouth Town Centre has major national and regional high
street brands including Marks and Spencer’s, Debenhams, WH Smith
and Borders and jostle alongside small, individual boutiques,
cafes and bars. Whether you prefer a major shopping extravaganza,
or more leisurely window shop, Bournemouth is the place to be this
Christmas.
